Clinical Intern

Healing can happen by becoming the best version of yourself and also by letting the worst version of yourself be loved. My therapeutic practice begins with meeting you where you are with whatever load you carry. From there, we can build an environment of radical compassion, support, and collaboration to assist you in your growth. Embedded in how I support clients is my commitment to anti-racism, anti-ableism, intersectional feminism, and support for the LGBTQIA+ community as a queer neurodivergent therapist. I aim to create an inclusive and safe space for folks of all lived experiences and backgrounds.

I am a clinical intern receiving my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Roosevelt University. I take an integrative approach to therapy, incorporating mindfulness, embodiment/somatic experiencing, self-compassion, and art therapy techniques into talk therapy. These are some of the tools I use to help clients learn to feel their way through experiences, past or present, that linger in the body. Components from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy are also blended into my approach. By using these theories, we can work together to identify how you have been stuck in roles or behaving in ways that no longer serve you. From there, we can create goals that help you to learn new ways of feeling and living in a more integrated way. Though the therapy process can be challenging and overwhelming at times, you are not alone.
