Andersonville Mindfulness & Psychology
My goal is to create a safe space where you can express yourself freely and without worry about judgment. I have a background in Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Somatic Experiencing Therapy. I’ve also been a yoga teacher for over 20 years. Both Mindfulness-Based and Somatic therapies help you to be more present with your thoughts and emotions, especially the difficult ones, and bring a greater understanding of how they’re affecting your physical wellbeing.
Beyond exploring your thoughts and feelings, we can also gain insight into how your nervous system is functioning and impacting your experience of the world. Through this process, we can help bring about a greater sense of safety as you face challenges. Our tensions and traumas can sometimes get stuck in our body, and bringing awareness to the mind-body connection can facilitate and accelerate healing.
We can work together to help you develop self-regulating strategies and lessen anxiety. Working collaboratively, we can develop a plan to help you get to where you want to be and begin to look more closely at any limiting beliefs so you can create more positive ones. We can work together to help you gain a greater sense of empowerment and possibility.
