Professional Development Coordinator

Making the decision to pursue therapy can be difficult, and I am here to support you. Through my own journey with mental health, I understand how vulnerable the therapy process can feel and I strive to provide as safe and comfortable a space as possible to begin to build your trust in me as your therapist. My work with clients often helps to build a bridge between the past and future by way of helping you get more present with what’s going on in your life right now. I believe it is important to understand ourselves holistically from the individual systems in which we grew up and currently exist, as well as the larger systemic factors that are and have impacted our lives.

I have extensive training in mindfulness which I bring into sessions in different ways to help bring patterns into awareness to enable change. I utilize an integrated approach to therapy which means I customize my approach based on the symptoms and goals of my clients. Some of the approaches I may draw from include psychodynamic, acceptance and commitment therapy, person-centered, behavior and solution-focused work. I also strive to provide an overall trauma-informed approach that is inclusive of all identities.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. I have worked with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, complex trauma, grief, family/relationship challenges, physical health concerns, and other life stressors.
